Tara began working with horses at nine years old as a working student.  She continued to develop a strong foundation in many equine disciplines in Delaware Valley University’s four-year degree program, where she graduated summa cum laude with Bachelors of Science degrees in Equine Studies and Business.  Tara excelled at DVU, winning the college’s most prestigious Founder’s Day Award, which is awarded to one outstanding student each year.  Tara also passed the British Horse Society’s mock tests: stage one riding and stage two horse care and knowledge.

DVU’s curriculum provided Tara with a broad education, with coursework including Dressage, Hunt Seat, Driving, Vaulting, and much more.  Tara focused her studies on equine health, anatomy, and massage therapy.  She studied under Tara Miliziano-Crowley and served as a Teaching Assistant for DVU’s Equine Massage course.  Outside of her studies, Tara coached the college’s vaulting team and competed in driving-single pony, where she often placed first and reserve champion.

After graduating from DVU Tara moved to Redmond, WA and worked as an assistant trainer at San Sebastian Equestrian Center and as an associate for Locher and Associates.  She continued her training and education by studying Large Animal Massage at the Northwest School of Animal Massage and Mike Scott’s Saddle fitting course.  Now, Tara is owner and therapist (LAMP) of Back in Stride Equine Massage and Saddle Fit and is looking forward to meeting new clients throughout the Puget Sound and Eastside.  Our service area includes but is not limited to:  Redmond, Bellevue, Kirkland, Issaquah, Woodinville, Duval, Carnation, Bothell, Monroe, Snohomish, Seattle, and Kenmore.
